Many a time, i call up my friend and this is how the conversation goes. "Jenny, I'm bored. Let's go out." "Go where?" "I dunno. Just somewhere. It's Christmas/Easter/Homowo, etc. I don't want to stay in the house." I whine. "Ok, how about the mall?" "Overcrowded" "Osu?" "Been there, done that." "So-so-and-so lounge/bar at East Legon/Cantonments?" "Have you got lounge money?" And so the conversation goes until we spend our afternoon/evening doing nothing but stay indoors. I lo
That tiny shop at the edge of the plaza, cowering right in the corner... That tiny shop that was overlooked on several occasions as we waltzed by looking at other locations... That tiny shop grew bold on our last visit to the area. It caught our gaze and held it, unwavering. It seamed to say "Look at me! I am right here!" That shop that I called tiny, said "cozy". That shop that I called different, said "hip". When I run out of descriptions, it winked at me and said "trendy".
Jack of all trades, master of none. First time ever designing a commercial space. So many things to consider, from where the wind blows to which window offers the best views.
